Firefox 3.5 Released

Labels:
Mozilla released their latest version of their snappy browser Mozilla Firefox 3.5 on June 30th!

Things move quickly online, and I am beefed up the engine that runs Firefox to make sure you can keep up: Firefox 3.5 is more than twice as fast as Firefox 3, and ten times as fast as Firefox 2. As a result, Web applications like email, photo sites and your favorite social networks will feel snappier and more responsive.

According to Official Website, Release Statements states:

  1. Available in more than 70 languages. (Get your local version!)
  2. Support for the HTML5
  3. Improved tools for controlling your private data, including a Private Browsing Mode.
  4. Better web application performance using the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine.
  5. The ability to share your location with websites using Location Aware Browsing.
  6. Support for native JSON, and web worker threads.
  7. Improvements to the Gecko layout engine, including speculative parsing for faster content rendering.
  8. Support for new web technologies such as: downloadable fonts, CSS media queries, new transformations and properties, JavaScript query selectors, HTML5 local storage and offline application storage, text, ICC profiles, and SVG transforms.
